Warehousing, Export Packing & Cargo Reinforcement in China

VelFreight provides warehouse handling, temporary storage, export packing and cargo reinforcement as part of China-origin shipping. We receive the goods, carry out your approved handling instructions and prepare the finished shipping units for their next transport leg.

RECEIVE. IDENTIFY. PREPARE.

Warehouse work organised around your orders.

Good warehouse preparation starts with knowing what will arrive and what must leave. We agree the receiving location, cargo requirements and work instructions before suppliers deliver. Warehouse location, available space, handling times, storage arrangements and prices are confirmed for the actual goods and route.

Arrival appointments and unloading

We arrange the warehouse arrival appointment and unloading requirements. Provide the vehicle, expected arrival, package counts and any lifting or manual-handling needs so the receiving team can prepare.

Counting, checks and photographs

We count arriving packages, compare the tally with the expected records, check visible external condition and take photographs for feedback. Item-level inspection or product testing is a separate scope that must be specified.

Receipt records and sorting

We register the arrival, check labels and identify the order or supplier group. Sorting and consolidation help keep the goods associated with the correct customer instructions and onward shipment.

Temporary and transfer storage

We can hold cargo for an agreed short-term or transit period while the shipping plan is completed. Storage free time, space type, rates and insurance arrangements follow the quotation or contract.

Labels, carton splits and combinations

On your instructions, we apply or replace approved labels, split or combine cartons, sort by release group and prepare the outgoing order. Send final label and shipping-mark files before the work begins.

Outbound checks and feedback

We check the outgoing package list, coordinate loading and handover, and provide inventory or operating-stage updates. The released quantity and final packing details must match the approved dispatch instructions.

PROTECT THE FINISHED SHIPPING UNIT

Packing and reinforcement for the actual journey.

Packing work available by agreed cargo and transport plan
ServiceTypical workDetails to confirm
Carton reinforcementCarton strengthening, corner protection, cushioning and protection for fragile parts.Product shape, vulnerable surfaces, inner packaging and the outer carton condition.
Pallet preparationPalletising, stretch wrapping, strapping and pallet corner protection.Finished footprint, total height and gross weight, forklift access, orientation and permitted top load.
Wooden frames and cratesWooden-frame or crate reinforcement for the approved shipment.Dimensions, cargo support points, lifting method and applicable destination wood-packaging requirements.
Moisture, water and dust protectionAgreed protective wrapping and packaging materials for the expected handling and exposure.Cargo sensitivity, route, expected storage and packaging suitability; packaging does not guarantee a humidity level.
Heavy or irregular cargoA reinforcement approach assessed from dimensions, weight, shape and transport mode.Centre of gravity, supporting surfaces, lifting points and loading or unloading equipment.
Battery-related preparationInsulation, short-circuit protection, individual packing, outer-package labels and supporting-document checks as applicable.Exact battery chemistry and configuration, product identity, relevant test records and the carrier’s confirmed requirements.

Packaging materials and labour are quoted for the actual work. A crate or pallet may improve handling while increasing the measured dimensions and gross weight. We record the final shipping units so transport calculations are based on the goods as they will move.

Where regulated wood packaging is used, applicable destination treatment and marking requirements must be met. ISPM 15 addresses regulated wood packaging in international trade; requirements depend on the material and destination. See the IPPC’s official ISPM 15 standard. Confirm the required packaging before construction or dispatch.

OUR NINE-STEP WAREHOUSE WORKFLOW

From arrival booking to the final update.

  1. Arrival appointment. We confirm the receiving location, expected arrival, order references, cargo details and unloading requirements.
  2. Unloading and receiving check. The arriving goods are unloaded under the agreed handling arrangements and checked at handover for obvious discrepancies or visible damage.
  3. Count and photograph. Package counts and photographs create a receiving record for comparison with the supplier’s information.
  4. Register the receipt. We enter the inbound cargo under the relevant customer, supplier and order references so release instructions can identify the correct goods.
  5. Sort and label as instructed. We complete the agreed grouping, label application or replacement, carton splitting or combining, using the approved files and instructions.
  6. Pack and reinforce. The confirmed carton, pallet, frame, crate or other protective work is completed for the cargo and planned transport mode.
  7. Check before release. We recheck the outgoing count, labels and finished packing against the authorised dispatch group and record the final shipping details.
  8. Load and hand over. We arrange the agreed truck or carrier handover with the package list and handling instructions needed for the next leg.
  9. Provide milestone feedback. We report the completed operation and handover status, including outstanding instructions or discrepancies that require your attention.

This sequence defines the standard operating stages. Special inspections, treatments or carrier checks may add work before release; we confirm those tasks for the shipment.

PREPARE THE WORK INSTRUCTIONS

UN 38.3 records apply where required for the relevant lithium or sodium-ion battery type; they are not a universal requirement for every battery chemistry. An SDS/MSDS may be requested for review but does not replace applicable battery testing or transport classification. See our battery-cargo service before sending regulated cargo to the warehouse.

SCOPE, COSTS AND RELEASE

A written handling plan helps prevent surprises.

We identify the agreed receiving, storage, sorting, label, packing, material and outbound-handling charges in the quotation. Potential extra work—such as an unplanned carton split, additional materials, a revised release group or storage beyond the agreed period—is explained before it is confirmed.

The storage location, available space, permitted goods, operating schedule and free storage period are shipment-specific. Do not assume bonded storage, temperature control, a particular warehouse location or insurance cover unless those arrangements are expressly confirmed in writing.

Goods must arrive with accurate descriptions and complete applicable documents. We do not accept prohibited cargo or special cargo that lacks required documentation or compliant packing. Our supplier-consolidation service can connect the receiving plan to pickups, and trucking can connect the warehouse handover to the next gateway.

Can you repack goods from more than one supplier?

Yes. We can sort, split or combine cartons and apply your labels as agreed. Provide the supplier and order mapping, destination requirements and written packing instructions so the finished units remain identifiable.

Are photographs a complete inspection of the products?

No. Routine receiving photographs and counts record the agreed visible checks. If you need cartons opened, item counts checked or another inspection performed, state the work separately for confirmation.

Can you prepare wooden crates and frames?

Yes, we provide wooden-crate and frame reinforcement for suitable cargo. Construction, dimensions, materials, handling points and destination wood-packaging requirements are confirmed for the shipment.
